The short version: this website sets no tracking cookies, runs no advertising or analytics scripts, and doesn't build a profile of you. The only time we hold your details is when you email us — and then only to reply.

Who this covers

This notice is about the ShelfCompass marketing website at shelfcompass.com. Our Shopify app, MarginGuard, handles merchant and store data under its own privacy notice, which you can read inside the app and during install.

What the website collects

• Nothing by default. Browsing these pages doesn't require an account and doesn't drop tracking cookies on your device.
• What you send us. If you email us — for early access, support or a question — we receive your email address and whatever you write, including any store details you choose to share.
• Basic server logs. Our host records standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running. These are kept for a short period and not used to profile you.

How we use it

We use what you email us to reply, to set up early access if you asked for it, and to provide support. We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and our email — a hosting provider and an email provider. They process data on our behalf so we can operate. We don't share your details with anyone else for their own use.

Keeping it, and your choices

We keep email correspondence only as long as it's useful, then delete it. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just email hello@shelfcompass.com.

If this notice changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
