Video Voice Translator for WordPress

WordPress plugin Available

The WordPress client of Dub Any Video: pick a video in the Media Library, choose languages, and get a dubbed audio track plus translated subtitles stored in your own Media Library.

Voice Translator screen in wp-admin listing Media Library videos with their dubbed languages and shortcodes
Every video in your library, the languages each one already speaks, and the shortcode to paste.

Who it helps

WordPress site owners with video libraries — lessons, tutorials, onboarding, product and process videos — who want them watchable in other languages.

The problem it solves

A full video copy per language multiplies storage: three languages of a ten-hour library are roughly 19 GB as video copies, against roughly 0.8 GB as audio tracks. The plugin keeps one copy of the picture and serves the dubbed files from your own site.

What it does

  • Pick a video in the Media Library, choose the target languages, and a dubbed MP3 plus SRT and VTT subtitles per language are stored in your own Media Library
  • One-click “Connect this site”: sign in on dubanyvideo.com, approve the site by name and the plugin fetches its key itself — entering a key manually still works
  • Two ways per language: “Transcribe & review first” lets you correct the transcript, timings, speakers and per-speaker voices before audio is generated; “Dub now” is the cheaper straight-to-audio path
  • The cost and your remaining minutes are shown before a dub starts; minutes for a failed language are refunded, and a finished language can be marked out of date and re-generated deliberately
  • The “Dubbed video” block or the [dubanyvideo id="123"] shortcode renders a lightweight player that keeps the original video and switches only the audio — an “Audio:” menu labelled in each language's own name
  • Works on sites that are not publicly reachable — a local install, staging behind a password, protected uploads: the plugin uploads the file instead, and says so before any minutes are spent

A dubanyvideo.com account is required; dubbing consumes minutes from that account's balance. Requires WordPress 6.2+ and PHP 7.4+. Listed on WordPress.org as “Shelfcompass Video Voice Translator”.
