Who it helps
Asana users who want to capture tasks from any web page, email or text selection without switching tabs.
The problem it solves
Things worth tracking live outside the Asana tab — email, pages, selected text — and every capture means tab-switching and copy-paste.
What it does
- Quick capture from the popup, a hotkey or the right-click menu, with project, section, assignee, tags and natural-language due dates
- Captures Gmail emails and page or screenshot content into tasks (PRO)
- Edit existing tasks, subtasks and Asana custom fields from the popup
- Inbox, capture history and an offline queue for when the network drops
- Optional AI-drafted task titles via your own AI provider key, stored locally
- Per-site rules can auto-pick the project for a website (PRO)
Minimal-permission design: no tab or browsing-history access; drafts and keys stay in local storage. Listed on the Chrome Web Store as “Asana Task Manager & Gmail to Asana — TaskSnap”.
