Workflow integrations: TaskSnap, Clip2Up and DepFlow

The work that should become a task lives outside the project-management tab — in an email, on a web page, inside a set of rule-created subtasks.

The problem

Capturing work into a project tool means switching tabs, finding the right project or list, and copy-pasting content that is already on screen. Inside Asana, rules can create subtasks but cannot wire the dependencies between them — so structured workflows collapse into manual cleanup.

TaskSnap for Asana

A Chrome extension that creates and edits Asana tasks from any page, selected text or a Gmail email — project, section, assignee, tags and natural-language due dates included. It edits subtasks and Asana custom fields from the popup, keeps an offline queue, and does not request Chrome’s ‘tabs’ or ‘history’ permissions. Optional AI-drafted titles run on the user's own provider key, stored locally.

Clip2Up for ClickUp

The same capture problem on the ClickUp side: one click turns a Gmail email or a web page into a ClickUp task with the right Space, Folder, List and assignee. PRO adds annotated screenshots, a linked-task badge in Gmail, and time tracking from the popup.

DepFlow

DepFlow works inside Asana's own rule builder as App Components: rule actions that make a task depend on another, chain rule-created subtasks into a sequence, or make the parent wait for its steps. Additional actions cover smart assignment, scheduled comments and escalation with a re-check timer.

Status and limits

All three are separate products with separate listings — not one suite. Each connects with the platform's own OAuth sign-in and reads only what the workflow needs.
